It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Josephine Lucille Keller, who passed away peacefully in her home on October 27. She was born on October 18, 1946 in Somerville, NJ and grew up in the small, quaint town of Milltown.
Known as “Jo” by her family and friends, she was a beloved wife of 53 years to husband Bernie, as well as a devoted mother and doting grandmother. Josephine’s life revolved around her love of family and the importance of maintaining strong connections to those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. Josephine especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and readily volunteered to babysit at any time. She was famous for her meatballs, which were guaranteed to draw family to the dinner table.
Josephine is survived by her husband Bernie and her three children: daughter Sandra Keller-Hojecki and her husband William Hojecki, daughter Debbie St. Onge, and son Christopher Keller and his wife Jamie as well as four grandchildren: Bianca and Austin St. Onge and Wyatt and Nolan Keller. Josephine is predeceased her parents Marie and Agostino Bianca and her sister Lucille Rosen and is survived by her brother Dan Bianca and his wife Terry.
Family and friends are invited to her viewing Monday, November 1, from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm and again on Tuesday morning, November 2, from 9:30-10:30 am at FERTIG FUNERAL HOME,63 N. Main St., Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit, Holy Name of Jesus Church, 17 Earlington Ave., Mullica Hill, NJ 08062 on Tuesday at 11am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Chews Landing NJ.
